I attended the 13th Annual October Conference for New England Academic Librarians at Dartmouth College. An outline and links to the presentations can be found here. The conference was focused on “Staff Development on a Shoestring”. One of the most valuable things that I took away from the conference was the importance of mentoring. I definitely learned the most when I was in Library School by seeking out experienced librarians who agreed to be my mentor. And I learned the most during my two internships in libraries, not from my classes.
