Exercise 16 is “Learn about wikis and discover some innovative ways that libraries are using them.”  According to this exercise description, “a wiki is a collaborative website and authoring tool that allows users to easily add, remove and edit content.”  I was already familiar with how wikis work, as I have used them in the past at Dartmouth College while working in the Baker-Berry Library.  Wikis are a great place for multiple users to collaborate and keep track of their changes and progress on a project.  I especially liked the use of wikis as Library Subject Guides.  Here’s an example at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.
